The scenery.cfg file is located under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX.Active Sky 2016 (AS16) represents the culmination of 16 years of weather simulation engine development! New In-Cloud Motion Effects, Weather Scenarios System, Airborne Weather Radar, Navigraph Data Integration, Re-designed Map-based Custom Weather Editing System, Universal Web Companion App, an Improved Mapping System and a High-Latitude Cloud Squeeze Fix are just a few of the new features to debut in this brand new version of Active Sky.īeyond the many new features, AS16 also extends and improves all aspects of weather simulation and depiction, from data parsing, to synthesis, interpolation, depiction, performance, and everything in-between, your entire weather experience will be more realistic than ever before.ĪS16 also incorporates full integration with Active Sky Cloud Art (ASCA), HiFi Simulation Technologies' brand new graphics add-on for both FSX and P3D. To be safe and allow FSX to re-order things DONT edit scenery.cfg directly, just look at it to find the data you need to fix it. Then either put that scenery back where it belongs or, using the "name" associated with Area.120, go into FSX Scenery Library Manager and delete that area that FSX can't find. Also examine the "Name" associated with area.120 which matches the name in the Scenery editor within FSX. You can easily find which folder (scenery) it is looking for by examining the path that is associated with Area.120. The scenery message means you have an entry in scenery.cfg that points to some scenery folder that no longer exists. Your scenery error has NOTHING to do with ASN. Your conflating two different problems into one. I have reloaded Active Sky several times without success. Click OK to continue." After clicking OK, FS runs, but Active Sky is not. Local scenery directory (Addon Scenery\SCENERY) in scenery Area.120 not found.

It launches okay, but when I launch FS, I get the message "SCENERY.CFG file error.
